Rates generally range from $130 – $210 per 1,000 words, depending on complexity, subject matter and whether you need proofreading or editing in addition to the translation services.

A letter written in German that is translated into English without any proofreading or editing will start at $130 per 1,000 English words. A legal contract in German that is translated into English without any proofreading or editing will start at $150 per 1,000 English words. A court judgment in German that is translated into English with proofreading and editing will start at $210 per 1,000 English words.

What is the difference between proofreading and editing?

The difference between proofreading and editing is that the proofreader will check the translation against the original to verify accuracy and consistency of rendering as well as correcting typos and grammatical mistakes. The editor will not check the translation against the original, but will ensure the translation reads like publishable material.

Do you have rush service?

Yes, 24-hour turnaround-time has a rush rate of 30% increase to the rates listed above. 48-hour turnaround-time has a rush rate of 20% increase to the rates listed above.
