Bio

Crossculture Word, German and English Translation Specialists since 2005!

In 1999 I earned 400667_10201066389764609_2113843566_na B.A. in Philosophy from Northwestern College (IA). I spent the following five-and-a-half years residing in the southwestern part of Germany where I both served at an international school and studied. I completed an M.A. in English Philology with a specialization in Linguistics from the University of Freiburg. German, French and English were a major part of those studies. After having worked as a teacher and freelance translator, I returned to graduate school and earned an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2014, where I studied biblical Hebrew for three years. A Princeton historian sharpened my German-English translation skills by supervising my translation of as-of-then untranslated historical documents, which he subsequently used as primary source material to teach a history class. My graduate school work broadly focused on language studies and biblical theology.

As of 2015, I have translated or edited over 750 professional language projects. For additional information, click on the following links to my professional profiles on ProZ   and ATA.

Currently I provide written language services from German/French into English.  The four main fields I work in are legal, financial, accounting and banking.  I work at Modworks, a co-working space at 110 16th St., Suite 1300, Denver, Colorado.
