Our Approach
Our Approach to Language Services: Save Money and Receive an Accurate Translation
The members of Crossculture Word's translation network are your translators, proofreaders, editors and transcribers. There does not have to be an agency between you and the professional linguist. You will save money by working with us directly. Direct clients may choose to cut out a go-between company by working with us; the same quality will be delivered as if it were a translation agency. You will be able to be in direct contact with the translator from the beginning until the end of the translation process. If you are not satisfied with anything in the final product, you may contact the translator and proofreader directly. You will reduce costs and purchase a superb translation.
We are human translators. Although machine generated translations are extremely fast, they are generally inaccurate and unreadable for complex documents. Machine generated translations generally do not appropriately decode structural semantic levels (sense relations such as antonyms, synonyms, hyponyms and meronyms), cognitive semantics (metaphors especially), relationships between words of the same lexical field (e.g. run, race, jog, trot), lexical ambiguities: polysyemy (words with more than one meaning) and homonymy (two or more words with the exact same spelling), unequal verb tense variation across language groups and meanings delimited by syntactic restrictions. A human translator deciphers these types of linguistic issues and then renders them in the target language.
The key to our approach to translation services is a human translator decoding source language meaning and encoding it appropriately in the target language vocabulary.
